Grameen Swayamsewak Samaj has started its journey as a FINGO to reduce poverty since 2005. After overcoming various ups and downs, today it has been transformed as a strong microfinance institution in the province no. 2 of Federal Nepal in the name of Grameen Swayamsewak Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (GSLBSL). This is a great achievement in itself, but we are not in a position to say that our vision for poverty alleviation has been fulfilled. We are constantly pushing for the economic and social transformation of the poor and vulnerable Nepali people. It is fact that, Poverty reduction has been made possible with the proactive role of micro finance institution in all over the world. In this context, GSLBSL is one of the microfinance organizations who dedicated to serve the deprived and economically challenged women and unemployed people through microfinance services in Province No.-2, which is located at southern part of Nepal.
Our entire team member is committed towards economic improvement of the deprived community. So We are achieving very good financial result and operational performance in a very short span of time through the hard working and dedicated staff member’s effort and morale and advisory support from board members. We already have opened and established 18 branch networks in different areas of 6 districts of Province no. 2. We are also planning to expand the microfinance services through branch offices in additional districts of Province no. 2 near future.
I take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Board of Directors of GSLBSL, the government of Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank, and Other Regulatory Bodies for their continuous support to GSLBSL.
